We understand that if you’ve made it this far, you are a full-fledged handyman and you either understand what it is or want to reduce your monthly electric bill even a little. In this case, the first thing you need to know, besides how to build an energy saving lamp, are the materials what do you need.

The mechanics of the process are simple, you just have to pay attention to the handling of the circuits (they must always be disconnected from the electrical network) so that no unexpected short circuits occur.
- Disassemble the bulb – The first step is to disassemble the exhausted bulb. To do this, we are going to remove it carefully so that the three fluorescent tubes it is made of do not break. Once outside, it is time to remove the electronic card from the bulb, also very gently.
- Couple the diodes – Now is the time to hang (or hang, using the quick-acting tail) LED to resistor R4 and capacitor C2, just above the case which acts as a cover, taking advantage of the space left by the holes from which the original bulb comes.
- Rest of the circuit – Once hooked up, it’s time to continue traveling the rest of the circuit. In other words, the couplings with the resistors R1, R2, R3, he capacitor C1 and the rectifier bridge BR1 that we will do inside, and with great care, of the bulb socket. Once this is done, the next step will be to join the two parts of the circuit that we have assembled, with the two red and black cables, so we will avoid polarity failures.
- Cap housing – Finally, it suffices to set up the bulb socket housing with its cover and … assembly ready! As a last detail, you have to close the connection between the case and the cover with the quick-acting glue, so we will completely seal the final product.
