At the Itma textile fair, which takes place at Fira de Barcelona from September 22 to 29, the Cetemmsa technology center presents its Dephotex project, created to develop fabrics that capture solar energy.

The objective of the project is to develop photovoltaic fabrics with flexibility, lightness, durability, resistance to water and dust, which allow the production of new textile products at low prices and industrially viable.

Some of the products presented at the show are cushions and jackets capable of generating clean, renewable, portable and self-sufficient energy. Likewise, the objective of the study is to implement it in car dashboards.

Models developed by Dephotex are intended for use in sports, automotive, leisure, home and architecture.

In seven countries, more than fifteen companies have been investigating photovoltaic textiles for three years, with a budget of four million euros.
