UPDATE: HOMEBIOGAS 2.0.
Generating your own energy has never been easier. In Israel, they developed Home Biogas, a relatively small biogas unit allows people to turn their own organic waste into fuel and compost. This compact unit was funded as part of a campaign to crowdfunding to bear your production costs.
Its purpose is simple, it allows its owners to convert their organic waste into enough gas for 2 to 4 hours of cooking, and 5 to 8 liters of liquid fertilizer per day.
The HomeBiogas unit is a full cycle waste collection system that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Something that until now was very difficult to do at the national level.
The unit has a capacity of up to 6 liters per day of organic waste or up to 15 liters per day of animal manure, to be converted into cooking fuel and organic fertilizer.
HomeBiogas is marketed for homes that are already off the grid or simply a “home” method of producing renewable energy. Depending on the details of the system, the device can convert a single kilogram of food waste into around 200 liters of gas, more than enough for an hour of cooking.
Also reasonably priced ($ 890 crowdfunding) and exceptional environmental value, the unit is stylish and very easy to use and assemble. In fact, it weighs less than 40 kg.
Its price is $ 1090 and you can buy it at homebiogas.com
Its assembly is quite simple, contrary to what it may seem:
