
A homemade hazelnut cream, which is made by whisking the hazelnuts. Easy to prepare, cheaper and healthier than those in the supermarket.
Ingredients.
- 1/2 cup whole hazelnuts.
- 1/2 cup of whole milk.
- 3/4 cup powdered milk.
- 1 tablespoon of sweet tasting honey.
- 1 pinch of salt.
- 1 cup bursting with dark or semi-sweet chocolate in chunks.
- 1 cup of milk chocolate or chocolate chips.
Instructions.
On a rimmed baking sheet, toast the nuts at 205 ° C for 10 minutes. Transfer them to a kitchen towel and rub them to remove as much skin as possible.
Then put them in a food processor and mix them until they turn from finely ground to mushy and coarse, like natural peanut butter.
Meanwhile, heat the milk, powdered milk, honey and salt in a small saucepan until it begins to boil. Remove from fire. Put the chocolate in a double boiler or melt it in the microwave for a few seconds to avoid burning it.
Add the melted chocolate to the ground nuts and continue to process the mixture, stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl as needed. Add the hot milk mixture until everything is combined and as smooth as possible. Makes about 2 cups.
