How to repair a chair by reusing electronic cables

After finding a totally destroyed red chair, it was seen that it was impossible to recover anything beyond its structure, a red metal structure that was still in good condition. So I started looking for a unique material to reweave the seat and backrest.

This is the chair when I found it:

The answer I found in an old box in my closet – cables that I had stored for years. Many of them, the vast majority, were outdated, others damaged or just old. One by one we weave them in the red square.

I decided to leave the ends loose, so that we know what the old function of each wire was. The cables used are: USB, FireWire, Ethernet, electric audio, RCA, iPod connectors, phone chargers and a few others.

The entire seat and backrest consisted of 70 individually woven cables. The seat flexes a bit when you sit down, making the chair more comfortable than it looks.

I am delighted with the finished product, what do you think?
