The latest product from Ecosfera Technologies bundles many of our favorite products into one easy-to-move package: shipping containers, solar panels for generating electricity and producing drinking water. With the new Ecos PowerCube, this company can offer an autonomous solar power plant, transported by land, sea or air to any part of the world that needs it.
Ecos PowerCube ® is the largest mobile solar generator in the world. It works with high power photovoltaic panels on which wind turbines can be installed.
The energy generated is stored in built-in batteries. The unit is designed to fit in shipping containers for easy transportation. Once unloaded, its solar panels extend beyond the container, tripling the size of the field. Electricity production can start immediately and can go up to 15 kW.
It integrates communication and water treatment and distribution systems. These systems can provide Internet connectivity within a 30 mile radius, satellite communications, and clean water. The unit can supply power to external systems such as hospitals or schools.
It can therefore have many uses, from humanitarian aid and relief operations, to military or power generation in remote locations.
Once the unit is open and operational, it provides a large covered area that can be used for temporary classrooms or dormitories.
If the weather starts to deteriorate, the entire unit can be reconditioned in an instant, and it can be controlled and operated remotely.
