What is the Abiu?

It is a tropical fruit, which is mainly found in the countries of Colombia, Brazil, Peru and Venezuela. It is a fruit physically similar to orange, yellow and smooth, although it has a pointed tip at one end.

  • Calories: 48 grams.
  • Protein: 1.80 grams.
  • Mineral salts: 0.1 gram.
  • Lipids: 0.2 grams.
  • Vitamin A: 50 IU
  • Vitamin B1: 0.022 milligrams.
  • Vitamin B2: 0.196 milligrams.
  • Vitamin B5: 0.0058 grams
  • Vitamin C: 0.013 grams.

Among the main benefits of this fruit are:

At this point, it should also be noted that the latex obtained from the peel of this fruit is widely used as a cleanser, dewormer and abscess remover.
