In the American city of Las Vegas, in collaboration with the startup EnGoPlanet, they are developing a high-quality ecological lighting system, designing new street lights powered by solar energy and kinetic energy obtained from the footsteps of pedestrians.
These kinetic panels can generate 4 to 8 watts per hour, varying according to the pressure of the pedestrian steps on the ground. These new streetlights are powered only by renewable energy sources. They use the most efficient solar cells currently on the market, with an efficiency of up to 24%.
They use the latest LED technology providing brilliant illumination using the least amount of energy.
In project, they are used to illuminate streets, parks, car parks, businesses and university campuses.
These smart street lights, in addition to lighting the streets, also work as security cameras, Wi-Fi access points and charging stations for smartphones via USB.
